Meal from a

Top Hat

Laughing Moon Theatre demonstrates the "Production of 'Any Meal Called For' from a Gentleman's Top Hat."
Inter-disciplinary artists Bliss Kolb and Bob Venezia began performing as Laughing Moon Theatre in 1983. Over the years they have developed a peculiar blend of magic, drama, storytelling, video, projections, striking visuals, and deranged comedy. Laughing Moon Theatre has paraded its smorgasbord of shameless eccentricities from street fairs and festivals, to theater and television, throughout the U.S. and Canada. In 1985 they became one half of Aesthet-O-Rama, forming a tenuous alliance with a sculptor and juggler to create three highly acclaimed productions in three years, including Art for the Millions and The Passion of Shecky.
Laughing Moon Theatre meanwhile continued to perform at such Festivals as the Vancouver Comedy Festival, the San Francisco New Vaudeville Festival, The Oregon Country Fair, and the Winnipeg Street Performers Festival, sharing the stage with such luminaries as The Reverend Chumleigh, The Flying Karamazov Brothers, Avner the Eccentric, Tom Noddy, The World's Largest Rotisserie, and the Marine World Water Buffalo. Mr. Venezia and Mr. Kolb are truly grizzled veterans of prop comedy.

Eventually, Mr. Venezia and Mr. Kolb wised up and, with the encouragement of good friend and producer Brion Sprinsock, began working on their own full-evening show for the Theatre. The result was Sleep Tight, billed as "an evening of magic, video, and deranged comedy."
